When I lock the hubs in my Nissan navara each month, should I also drive in 4H?

I’ve just bought a 2004 nissan navara and the owners manual advises running with the front hubs locked for at least 16kms each month in order to keep the axles lubricated (or something). Should I also put it in 4wd? 4H?

      The transfer case but do so on loose road surfaces or little off roading once in.
