What would cause a 1993 Nissan 4×4 truck V6 to burn gas rich? It never use up gas so fast before?

The smell of gas is present as if there’s a leak, but there’s no visible leak to see under the truck. Changed the gas cap and the thermostat. What else can it be?

      there is a leak and you will find that leak when your motor catches on fire because that is what is up next —– please take the truck to a good mechanic and get some new hoses and gas filter and a tune-up ———— you are going to be much safer and happier with the job correctly accomplished and no more gas smell or high consumption ………….
