Honestly I don’t think either of those are particularly stellar choices in the midsize SUV market. The pathfinder probably is the better of the two though, much less likely to flip on its roof if you lose a tire for example. The explorer I do believe has a size advantage though. I’d look at a Toyota 4runner though, same general type of truck, better reliability.
