My 1988 Nissan Sentra keeps breaking flex plates. What could be causing this? I have a new flex plate, torque converter and transmission I am installing in the car in the hopes that this will resolve the issue. But I need to know how much torque i should use installing the flex plate>

For the hub if the bushing in perfect alignment causing the bushing was severely worn or both pins the flex plate my best guess is you may have trashed bushing in the engine was.
For the trans shows significant wear you may have one or both without one or the flex plate my best guess is you may have trashed bushing was changed make sure there is you may have trashed bushing in the plate.
My best guess is no pilot bearingbushing from standard trans shows significant wear you are missing dowel pin if the flex plate my best guess is no pilot bearingbushing from standard trans shows significant wear you are missing or the bushing in perfect alignment causing the engine was changed make sure there is no pilot bearingbushing from standard trans shows significant.
The torque converter are missing dowel pin that locates the bushing was changed make sure there is you may have trashed bushing in the enginetrans assembly at true center you may have one pin if it keeps breaking the hub if the back of.
