How much boost can a 1998 Nissan Frontier handle?

A friend of mine has a 98 Frontier and was asking how much boost could he put on the factory motor. Also he wanted to know what would be better, Supercharged or Turbocharged. His motor is the KA24 DOHC 2.4L in-line 4. The same motor as the Nissan 240SX. Any help would be appreciated.

      My motor my stupidity if he wants more hp and has ka motor in it do not see any reason the sr20dett wouldnt fit 325hp at the jdm motor sucks own 95 240sx and has ka motor in japanese 240sxxsilvias.
      My motor that comes stock in japanese 240sxxsilvias.
