How do I switch out the shift knob for an automatic transmission Nissan Sentra 98′?

How do I switch out the shift knob for an automatic transmission Nissan Sentra 98′? I unscrewed the 2 screws to take the original one off but it seems to be attached to some white rubbery wire. Can I even switch itout for a custom one I found? Thank you.

      An aftermarket bm maybe shift lever.
