I lost my keys to the car and the city towed it because it stayed in one spot for too long. I need to get it out of the tow yard to call a locksmith to look at it because the car is too old for the local Nissan dealer to obtain a key-code. Does anyone know how I’d be able to accomplish this?

I cannot find where the speedometer cable or sensor wire connects to the transmission on a 1999 Nissan Sentra. It is a 1.6 litre engine and manual 5 speed trans. I’ve looked and looked and looked. Please help! There is no cable connection running from the firewall to the trans. Maybe it is some kind of sensor wire? Thanks for your help.
