How to install aftermarket gauges in a 2000 Nissan Frontier?

Okay, so I am getting a 2000 Nissan Frontier as my first car sometime next month and apparently there is a problem with the speedometer so I am going to replace it with a new one. I looked at videos of people changing out the gauge faceplates but not the actual gauges themselves. It appears to me that the stock gauges are just one whole piece. Is there any way to use the stock bezels but install new gauges? Thanks for any help.
