pam m asked:

I installed the factory sirius module in my 2007 Nissan Murano SE. I was able to scan each channel with the steering wheel controls. But when I added presets it only goes to that preset. Is there a way to have it go through each channel?

Nissan Versa Ads Now Available for Viewing

Shane Morgay asked:

The newest Nissan Versa batch of ads and commercials are already available for viewing by anybody and by everybody. And this vehicle would surely have consumers in the auto market racing towards dealerships and show rooms to own one of these. The new ads would be marketing the latest Nissan Versa model to be an automobile that offers more than enough room, fuel efficient and rich in features. And everybody sure knows that even without ads, the Nissan Versa can be easily accessorized with items and products like Nissan accessories.

And a couple of days ago, Nissan made sure that they would be able to show off their batch of Nissan Versa ads on television stations. In fact, they were able to show off their commercials during the Star of Tomorrow premier. Star of Tomorrow is a show broadcasted over the NBC station. Nissan is able to show off teasers that were fifteen seconds in length. The company is sure able to do such a thing. After all, they did make sure that they are the main sponsors of the mentioned show.

The Nissan Versa website, on the other hand, also boasts of a new type of advertisement. There are banner ads that you can find on the website. And you can see an illustration of the disease that the company calls as “autoclaustrophobia”. This is specially shown through visuals that feature young people looking tortured as they squeezed into cars. These young passengers are also shown being pressed much too closely against the windows of the vehicles they are riding in. And the cure to “autoclaustrophobia” is a tagline which just so briefly states, “Next generation relief is coming.” And sure enough, the relief would come in the form of the roomy and versatile Nissan Versa.

The agency that created the batch of ads states, “It’s a small car that’s giant on the inside. It has a level of features and amenities that rival more expensive cars; and it gets incredible gas mileage. Once you open the door, and let them inside the space, then you tell the story of fuel efficiencies and high-tech features like Blue Tooth wireless and keyless entry.”

Nissan, to Unveil Innovative Fuel-cell Technology in 2010

Shane Morgay asked:

Nissan Motor Co. earlier announced that early next decade it will be introducing fuel-cell technology for the vehicles in Japan and North America. This new venture by the automaker is part of its midterm environmental strategy dubbed as “Nissan Green Program 2010.”

Toshiyuki Shiga, Nissan chief operating officer said that the company will introduce gasoline engine technologies that will enhance fuel economy and at the same time reduce carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to diesel engine levels. These car technologies will be introduced to the automotive market starting from the fiscal year 2010.

Nissan will also unveil new fuel-cell vehicle with sophisticated fuel stack. Said vehicle will be produced in-house after 2010. Shiga divulged that this new vehicle is aimed at showcasing performance on par with gasoline-power automobiles.

A fuel cell is an electrochemical energy conversion device. It differs from batteries in the sense that the latter are intended for incessant replenishment of the reactants consumed. Further, fuel cells generate electricity from an external supply of fuel and oxidant unlike batteries which have limited internal energy storage capacity. Additionally, fuel cell automobiles run on the power generated when oxygen in the air mixes with hydrogen in the fuel tank. Moreover, the technology produces water vapor, which is not harmful to the environment.

Shiga added that the company intends to concentrate on the internal combustion engine as Nissan’s primary power source. The automaker also intends to improve engine efficiency to blend well with Nissan accessories. In addition, Mitsuhiko Yamashita, Nissan’s executive vice president for research and development said, “To develop vehicles that are truly environmentally friendly, we need to make significant advances in internal combustion technology while working on electrical power sources in parallel.”

Shiga further noted that Nissan intends to develop a “three-liter car,” which can travel 100 kilometers or 60 miles using 3 liters or about 3 quarts of gasoline. This car is expected to be introduced to the auto industry in 2010.

Carlos Tavarez, Nissan’s executive vice president for product planning and corporate strategy said, “If you have to compensate for the cost of new technologies, you’ll find that (gasoline) is very high performance for small cars in terms of balancing the costs for the customer in terms of fuel efficiency. You get high performance and low mileage.”

The automaker will also unleash a 100% bioethanol fuel-ready vehicle intended for the Brazilian market by 2009. It will also introduce an electric vehicle starting in Japan early next decade.
