How much to replace a Nissan 300z engine?

I figure that the car won’t last too much longer on an engine with that many miles, so how much would it cost to replace the engine? Does it have to be a 300 engine or can some other make and/or model engine be substituted? It’s a 1994, if that matters. Thanks.
